We provide specialist assessment and surgical options for men with infertility, including advanced sperm retrieval techniques when there are no sperm in the ejaculate.

Our multidisciplinary team offers personalised investigations, evidence‑based treatment recommendations and on‑site laboratory support so any sperm found can be used immediately or securely frozen for future use.

Male fertility assessment

Semen analysis is performed in our onsite, NATA-accredited andrology laboratory, with further investigations arranged as required. In addition to detailed semen analysis, we also perform anti-sperm antibody testing, sperm DNA fragmentation analysis, and seminal microculture. If required, semen samples can be frozen and stored for future reproductive use.

Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA / TESE)

A minimally invasive procedure to obtain sperm directly from the testis using a fine needle or small biopsy. TESA/TESE is commonly recommended for men with obstructive azoospermia or those unable to ejaculate; it can often be performed under local anaesthetic and allows retrieved sperm to be used straight away in fertility treatment or frozen for later use.

Microsurgical Testicular Sperm Extraction (MicroTESE)

A microsurgical technique performed under general anaesthetic using a high‑powered operating microscope to locate tiny areas of sperm production within the testes. MicroTESE offers the highest chance of retrieval for men with non‑obstructive azoospermia and is performed with immediate on‑site laboratory assessment so any sperm found can be used for IVF/ICSI or cryopreserved.
